Tests & Results
Please call between: 13:00pm - 15.00pm to enquire about your test results. The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. Results can only be given to the patient concerned or parent/guardian of a child (under 16).
It is your responsibility to contact the surgery for your own test results.
Sometimes a doctor will suggest that an appointment with the clinician is made to discuss the results, and the receptionist will advise you of that.
Please remember the reception staff are there to help you and any questions they may ask are designed to assist the doctors in caring for your well-being.
If tests have been ordered by specialists at the hospital, the results may go back to them, not to us, therefore you will have to contact the hospital for these results.
If the doctor has asked you to have a blood test you will need to attend one of the community phlebotomy clinics.
See the leaflet on the Trafford CCG website for locations and opening times (correct as of January 2017)
Blood tests are carried out at the surgery only for specific conditions and by invite only.
Fasting blood test means nothing to eat after midnight prior to the test. No food or drink, only water. Medication can be taken with water unless otherwise specified. Do not chew gum or eat sweets.
The afternoon clinics tend to be quieter.
